Mehendi preparation for weddings- to apply on hands and feet

Mehendi is an art of henna painting on the body (specially on hands) has been practiced in India, Africa, and the Middle East. Henna plant is believed to be auspicious and to bring love and good fortune, and to protect against evil. Mehendi is traditionally used for wedding ceremonies and also fot many other celebrations.




How is mehendi prepared:-



To prepare mehendi for hands follow these steps
-Boil tea or coffee beans in a cup of water. Amount depends on the quantity of mehendi u need.  For example 1 cup tea decoction for 100g of mehendi.

-Let the tea decoction cool then add 1 tsp of sugar and half a lemon to it. This helps the mehendi to stick on the hands firmly once applied.

-To the above add the mehendi powder and some water and mix finely to get a paste of the below consistency.

-Add some eucalyptus or nilgiri oil to it in order to get good colour once removed.

-The above preparation of mehendi is just for application on hands and legs. Please don't do the same for henna on hair
