Indian mutter paneer recipe ( cottage cheese and peas)

Mutter paneer as its called in India or cottage cheese and peas gravy is a very famous dish of north India. It's a pure vegetarian recipe and is savoured by many. Try this recipe at home for the veggies and they will be very impressed.
























Ingredients:-

250 gms paneer cubed ( cottage cheese)
50 gms shelled peas
1 large onion
1 medium tomato
1/2 capsicum
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp dhania powder( coriander powder)
2 tbsps of oil
1 1/2 cups water
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
2 tbsps tomato sauce
2 tbsps thickened/ heavy cream
Coriander leaves chopped fine to garnish

Preparation:-

- In a pan take oil and golden fry the paneer and remove them aside. 
- In the same pan add the mustard and cumin seeds. Once they start to pop add the chopped onions and saute till golden brown. 
- Add the ginger garlic paste and saute it for 1/2 a minute. 
- Then add the finely chopped tomatoes to it and saute for 1 min. Then add capsicum to it. 
-Now add the peas and some water depending on the consistency you need and let the peas cook till they are tender in the gravy. 
- To this add tomato sauce, chilli powder, dhania powder, turmeric, sugar and salt.
-Now add the cream and stir well and leave it on low flame for sometime till the oil seperates.
-Finally add the paneer cubes and stir lightly so that the paneer doesn't break into small pieces.
